Amy & Chris - April '22

As the big day finally arrived, Chris and his son William could be heard approaching, long before they arrived in a bright red vintage Chevrolet pickup truck. William joined his dad at the top of the aisle to await Amy’s arrival and was eagerly keeping an eye on the time on his brand new pocket watch that he wore with his very dapper suit. He and his dad made a very handsome duo.

Amy had spent the morning being pampered with her parents and her bridesmaids before being driven to CHB by the father of the bride. Each bridesmaid had a gorgeous dress in one of the colours from Amy’s jewel toned colour palette. Amy wore a lovely ivory gown with a train, lace detailing and a beautiful crystal belt for a touch of sparkle. The bridal bouquet featured the same lovely bright colours as the Bridesmaid dresses and added a fabulous splash of colour!

As the music began and the emotion of the day hit, there was time for one final deep breath as Amy linked arms with her dad and was on her way down the aisle to meet her husband-to-be.

A striking hexagonal wooden archway with brightly coloured floral accents and drapes stood as a backdrop to the exchange of vows. Coloured ribbons tied posies of gypsophila to chairs lining the aisle and a stunning floral spray completed the decor for the ceremony.

Following the ceremony, guests made their way out onto the lawn for confetti, Pimm's and canapes in the sunshine!

Our netball loving bride could not resist donning her team vest for a quick photo with her team-mates and even put them through a few drills to make sure they were on form for the dancefloor!

Guests’ places at the tables were marked with a hand painted pebble keepsake. Amy had painted each one herself with a special memory or shared passion for each guest. The Woodshed was brought to life with tall, colourful centrepieces and twinkly fairy lights.

Speeches preceded the wedding breakfast and included a few words from Chris’s adorable little boy William who began by saying that Ed Sheeran’s song The Joker and The Queen reminded him of the bride and groom - his dad being the joker and Amy being the Queen - such a cutey!

As evening guests began to join the celebrations, it was time for Chris to reveal a surprise for Amy. As they cut their wedding cake, the cake was spun around to reveal special decorative panels of the family’s favourite things including a photo of their fur baby!

A stunning sunset gave the perfect opportunity for our newlyweds to have a final few photographs taken in the grounds before returning to the barn to start the party with their first dance and a beautiful father and daughter dance.

After indulging in some yummy nachos, guests were invited to join the bride and groom outside to share sparklers for more photos to finish off an incredible day that was filled with colour in so many ways.
