Kitty & Paul - March '24

Updated: Jul 11

The first time we met Kitty and Paul we were amidst the build of our new bar and loos so we commend them for seeing the potential of CHB whilst it looked like a building site and had no heating! Fast forward a year, the bar and loos were complete and our fun loving couple’s weekend of celebrations was upon us.

One word to describe our duo throughout the wedding planning journey was ‘meticulous’ which is exactly how MC Ash would describe them too (we asked him!). The level of detail that went into the day was next level and even before seeing it in the flesh, we’ll never forget the beautiful PowerPoint presentation of their mood board and how they hoped to transform the spaces. Kitty and Paul always had their guests at the forefront of their day, wanting them to have as much fun as possible and boy did they party! Like Kitty said in her speech, their friends are an extension of their family and are highly regarded in their lives and you could see how much that was reciprocated by all which was really special to witness.

Teaming up with some of our trusted suppliers, our soon to be married couple arrived on set up day with an army of friends to put to work. Quirk were up ladders most of the morning, draping fabric over the beams and strategically placing chandeliers and disco balls to achieve that contemporary, luxe look. Meanwhile in the Main Barn, Array were unloading an eclectic selection of their beautiful furniture for Kitty and Paul to use to display an abundance of photographs of their journey together so far as well as the obligatory polaroid camera station to continue their memory bank.

Our rustic dining tables were adorned with mismatched candle holders, bud vases of delicate white florals and classic but clean cutlery, crockery and glassware to complement the hanging chandeliers and disco balls twinkling from the beams. The plan was for guests to have a big reveal when they were called for dining, to ensure the florals from church were in place and the hundreds of candles were lit; we loved being a part of that big surprise!

The energy and vibe from start to finish of this wedding was undeniably high. From the moment we welcomed Kitty and Paul into the Main Barn from church as the new Mr and Mrs Walker, to the last dance played by the band, every single guest was on form and that was one of the most important factors that Kitty and Paul wanted to achieve from the day. Nailed it!!

What a day, what a couple. We hope you continue to enjoy doing life together as we have a feeling it’ll be more and more special year on year.
