Maryam & Sam - April '23

Updated: Jul 12

It’s been a running joke for as long as we can remember that Maryam would be late to her own wedding. Sam is definitely the one that keeps Maryam in order when it comes to being in places on time so when we learnt that it was actually Sam staying on site at the Old Coach House the night before the wedding, and not Maryam, we were all a little worried!

With the set up complete, final words from Maryam were: “just you wait, I’ll be on time” so when we were told she was on her way, ON TIME, we couldn't believe our ears! As guests took their seats and the Groomsmen calmed Sam’s nerves, low and behold, we could see our beautiful Bride in the distance with minutes to spare!

Maryam stepped out of the car in the most incredible lace gown boasting a full skirt and satin bodice complemented by a chic updo and Cathedral length veil; she was honestly picture perfect. Our blushing Bride showcased her inner style by dressing her bridesmaids in emerald green tiered tulle dresses adorned with intricate, colourful embroidery to compliment their dried flower bouquets. And not forgetting the gorgeous Page Boy, Ebby, who is nephew to Maryam and Sam, and may have stolen our hearts a little bit throughout the wedding!

With a nervous Groom and a nervous Bride pre ceremony, it was paramount that we congratulated them at the end of the aisle with a large glass of Pimms and a huge sigh of relief! The stigma of April Showers were put to one side as fluffy white clouds and golden sunshine flooded the rear lawn for guests to be able to enjoy drinks and photographs outside.

Taking their seats for dining, guests were soon treated to a feast of Middle Eastern inspired sharing platters. If you are thinking of mixing guests up for dining then table picnic style menus are the perfect ice breaker as it openly encourages guests to explore the elements on offer amongst themselves and to hopefully enjoy a new experience together.

Once the happy couple were toasted throughout the speeches, it was time to head out onto the parkland to make the most of the April golden hour - what a killer sunset to mark the end of a beautiful day full of love and happiness.
