Rhiannon & Harry - August '23

Updated: Jul 12

Rhiannon and Harry’s plans have been in the making for over two years. A longer-than-planned engagement, like so many other couples recently. However, the day was worth the wait!

The bridal party enjoyed the natural sunlight flooding into the Garden Room at The Old Coach House as they began their preparations for the day. Baby Roseanna is an absolute joy and readied herself to steal the show - an inevitability that Rhiannon had prepared herself for!

Rhiannon was a naturally beautiful bride and proved that a designer dress is not always necessary to achieve a gorgeous bridal look to suit your style. Her highstreet dress featured delicate lace appliques and the cutest cap sleeves and most importantly, she felt amazing in it so didn’t stop smiling all day!

Father of the Bride awaited the arrival of a classic, vintage soft top car that he had booked as a surprise to transport Rhiannon to the ceremony. A quick ride out after the ceremony provided the couple with the perfect opportunity to take five minutes to themselves and of course, made for wonderful photo opportunities.

We often mention choosing the right suppliers for your day, but for good reason! Choosing the right suppliers can really affect how simple and exciting the planning process is as well as the quality of product that you receive for your budget on the day, and of course the lasting memories afterwards in terms of your photographs.

Rhiannon and Harry paid heed to this when putting together their plans. Planning from afar, it was especially important to them to have good communication with trusted suppliers. Keeping things relatively simple and investing in a couple of key, high quality, experienced suppliers worked extremely well for Rhiannon and Harry and the barn really felt like theirs for the day.

Having fallen in love with the architecture and the general feel of the barns, they were keen to keep the decor simple but still wanted to personalise it for their photographs. They chose to focus on floral enhancements, so it was important to find a florist who embraces seasonal blooms and who could be trusted to design something that would have real impact. Braken and Twine did not disappoint! Having been given a colour scheme and left to create, Katy installed an impressive arch of florals to frame the ceremony and a loose foliage runner on dining tables.

The beautiful floral design was also extended to the cake. Dust with Cocoa delivered another colourful, three-tiered beauty with delicate gold detailing, which was adorned with flowers to tie everything together to stunning effect. The newlyweds had decided to serve the wedding cake following the Wedding Breakfast, so the cake was cut earlier in the day to ensure that it was included in the photographs.

Rhiannon and Harry knew from the beginning of their planning process that they wanted to invest in a band to create the ultimate party atmosphere into the evening. Their guests were definitely onboard with this as they partied into the night, stopping only to partake in a bite to eat or a quick cocktail!

Mr and Mrs Marshall, it has been quite the journey and we are so proud to have been chosen to be part of it. We wish you lots of happiness and many more adventures as the Marshall Family.
