Abbie & Brendan - August '21

We were so excited throughout Abbie and Brendan’s planning journey to hear that, subject to the great British weather, we would be hosting our first EVER outside ceremony underneath our newly restored Cartshed.

August bank holiday weekends are notoriously known for disappointing weather but, by some miracle, bright blue skies and hazy sunshine chased off the showers just in time to celebrate the nuptials of the soon to be Mr and Mrs Read.

Top Tip: When considering an outdoor ceremony, always be prepared that your ‘plan B’ may have to come into effect at the last minute. It avoids last minute stress for you if we have put together a plan in advance that can be easily switched out. It is also worth considering your styling and decor vision and how it would work if you were to switch from an outside to inside ceremony location. Chatting through the logistics of the wedding day and your ceremony options with your coordinator in advance will definitely put your mind at ease the day before the wedding when you have to make those big, final decisions!

Guests were welcomed and invited to make their way through the barn to the lawn in readiness for the ceremony, and were able to admire the beautiful tablescapes Abbie and Brendan had meticulously planned on the way. Soft pink glassware and linen complimented our rustic dining tables beautifully, with gorgeous gold accents in the form of charger plates and cutlery from Banqueting Hire. The Little Lending Company is not only renowned for its styling, but also for its effortless calligraphy. Their handwritten place cards with gold script really completed the look. Floral Sistas had also worked their magic with some show stopping centrepieces, not to mention the stunning deconstructed floral arch that was in position under the Cartshed to frame Abbie and Brandan exchanging their vows.

The sweet acoustic sounds of Alice and Djinh soon gave their flower girl and page boy the all important cue to make their way down the aisle, towards their sweetie stashes! Abbie looked absolutely breathtaking as she linked arms with her Dad and made her grand entrance from the barn stairs into the open air, ready to meet the love of her life at the end of the aisle.

As guests cheered the announcement of the new Mr and Mrs Read, the happy couple made their way back into the barn while a confetti tunnel was formed on the lawn. Frizzante were on hand to serve glasses of fizz and buckets of beers to Abbie and Brendan’s nearest and dearest whilst they soaked up the summer sun and picturesque views.

Following photos on the parkland with the tree line as a backdrop, our bride and groom handed out tequila shots as guests made their way inside for the speeches!

A delicious three course meal was enjoyed in the Main Barn before our couple headed back out into the grounds for some stunning couples shots in the golden evening summer sun. Abbie was stunning in her lace overlay dress and the angel wing train made for some truly magical photographs.

After a surprisingly upbeat first dance with lots of giggles, Abbie and Brendan’s friends and family partied hard led by LG Entertainment’s DJ, Lee, and singer Dominic Uppiah.

Congratulations again, Mr and Mrs R!
