Winter weddings already have a magic of their own with crisp air, soft light and a cosy atmosphere. But when November gifts you a day of golden sunshine and a couple brings a vision of luxurious florals and warm muted tones… the result is unforgettable.
The day began in our main barn, where the ceremony space had been transformed with truly breath taking floral design. The couple chose a refined palette of dusty pinks, nudes, golden foliage and rich chocolate browns. Muted tones that felt wintery, textural, and luxurious.
Large arrangements framed the aisle, with plinths and floor meadows creating layers of blooms and foliage that guided the eye toward the front. It struck the perfect balance between polished and organic.
As the bride and groom exchanged their vows, the soft November sunshine filtered through the barn doors, catching the golden tones in the installations and giving everything a gentle glow.
When the couple walked back down the aisle as newlyweds, guests showered them with confetti — a joyful moment to mark the conclusion of a heartfelt and intimate ceremony.
The celebrations flowed naturally into the drink and canapé reception. The couple kicked things off with a champagne tower - an instant showpiece and a moment that never fails to delight. It set the tone for the celebrations: stylish, fun, and full of personality.
A live singer and guitarist added the perfect soundtrack, filling the barn with warm acoustic music that spilled out into the courtyard. The November sun held beautifully, allowing guests to wander between indoor and outdoor spaces, enjoying canapés, catching up with friends, and soaking in the unseasonably lovely weather.
While guests enjoyed the reception, the Woodshed was receiving last minute preparations for dining. Each table was set with floral arrangements in the couple’s signature muted palette — soft blooms, textured foliage and candles glowing warmly in the dimming light. The combination created a sense of winter intimacy without appearing dark or festive.
Above the tables, overhead installations of golden foliage added drama and depth to the room. These abundant arrangements cascaded gently above guests’ heads, intertwined with golden hanging lights that illuminated the tables below with a soft, romantic shimmer. It was a dining scene that felt both luxurious and inviting - wintery, but with a golden warmth rather than a frosty chill.
A thoughtful detail greeted each guest at their seat: their name printed on a ribbon, and placed on the setting. Simple, stylish, and memorable - the kind of touch that elevates the entire guest experience.
With the beautiful three course meal concluded, guests made their way to the mezzanine where a lively round of champagne pong awaited - a fun and playful addition that brought everyone together before the evening party kicked off.
Downstairs, the evening celebrations began with a DJ and percussionist - a high-energy combination that creates an electric, immersive atmosphere on the dancefloor.
The couple’s first dance was a magical moment, accompanied by confetti cannons that burst into the air as the music built. Confetti rained down as they twirled together, creating one of those cinematic scenes guests remember long after the day is over.
As the party got into full swing, the firepit outside offered a cosy retreat for guests needing a breath of cool air between dances. Later in the evening, pizza was served -keeping energy levels high and ensuring the celebrations could continue well into the night.
Well done Mr and Mrs Lancaster - what a wedding!
