Abby & Matt - July '24

The first time we met Abby and Matt we knew that their wedding was going to be a real party from start to finish and it 100% lived up to that!

Abby and Matt had a real vision of how they wanted the barn to look and they really hit the brief. With the help of Smoke & Wildwood the Main Barn and Woodshed were transformed into the couple's vision ready for the ceremony to start. The couples vision was whites, greens and blacks and these are three colours which look so natural throughout the Barn. Jo the florist created some stunning foliage runners along the beams in the Woodshed which were finished off with white roses throughout the barn.

With the ceremony complete, the new Mr and Mrs Bouchier were ready for that all important confetti photograph before enjoying their drinks and canapes on the rear lawn. The rear lawn is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of fizz whilst looking out over the acres of fields. The couple provided lawn games which are another great way to keep guests entertained throughout the day. Abby and Matt had a magician outside as well who was performing some wonderful tricks for all their guests.

Later on in the day guests took their seats in the Woodshed to enjoy Turkish style sharing boards with some amazing breads and dips served by Country Box Catering. The speeches took place before the food was served and you know there's going to be some good speeches when a screen and projector is pulled out! Abby's dad created a beautiful video of photos throughout her life and it went down a treat. What Abby and Matt’s guests and family didn't realise is that some of the waiters who had been serving them all day were actually in disguise! Before dessert was served there was a massive CRASH on the floor and the next minute two singing waiters appeared. They were absolutely outstanding and there were guests crying tears of joy, they definitely didn't want it to end.

The party in the evening was as expected. All guests took to the dance floor all night only breaking for a quick fish and chip pit stop half way through. The front of our Main Barn is the perfect spot for your evening food to be served. Guests can enjoy a seat around the fire pit under the festoon lighting whilst still listening to some great music.

At CHB we provide an in-house evening bar for your guests to enjoy. We provide varied drink options as well as our signature His and Hers cocktails! Abby and Matt wanted to change up their evening cocktail choices so we created a Hugo Spritz and Spicy Margarita which went down a treat!

What a wedding this was and it was such a great day to be a part of. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness together xx
