Amy & Steve - November '22

Amy and Steve made sure that the 2022 wedding season at Curds Hall Barn went out with a bang!

The 5th of November was a particularly special date for Amy and Steve as it marked an anniversary, spent enjoying a firework display together. So when it came to finding a date for their wedding, Saturday 5th November 2022 seemed meant to be!

Steve and Amy fully embraced the season, and their colour scheme of golden caramel and burnt orange hues was carried throughout their day. They even colour coordinated their favourite cocktail of passion fruit martinis which were thoroughly enjoyed by guests after the ceremony.

Amy and Steve had decided to include personalised vows within their civil ceremony with Amy promising to bake more! While a civil ceremony must fulfil certain legal requirements that are set in stone, it is also possible to personalise certain elements, for example: choosing music, readings or adding your own words for each other if you wish, so don’t be afraid to discuss these options when giving notice at the register office.

As guests enjoyed their cocktails and canapes, Amy and Steve were thrilled to receive a surprise visit from their dogs. Their gorgeous fur babies were very dapper in matching bow tie outfits and looked picture perfect as they joined in the photos.

Our newlyweds’ wedding day menu also had special significance to them as their caterer recreated the meal that they enjoyed on their engagement, for their wedding breakfast. A huge cheese tower took the place of a traditional cake, complete with a cute little wooden bride and groom painted to look just like Amy and Steve.

In the evening, treats of hot chocolate with sweeties, fudge and popcorn kept guests warm and happy as they made their way across the lawn to the Cartshed to watch a firework display! Then there were sparklers around the fire pit before heading back inside for a romantic first dance to kick off the party.

The following day, our newlyweds extended the celebrations by inviting their caterers to return to the Old Coach House accommodation to serve a delicious feast for them - a great way to banish the last of any hangovers and reminisce about the day before.

Our couples often enjoy the third night’s stay at the Old Coach House to spend some time debriefing with friends and family while making the most of the little bubble of newly-wedded bliss. If no honeymoon is planned for the immediate future, then it can also provide a nice buffer before returning to ‘real life’ - highly recommended!

So, that’s all folks…the last wedding of the season - thank you to Steve and Amy for closing the class of 2022 in style!
