Beth & Adam - May '22

The pandemic not only postponed Beth and Adam’s wedding by a year, it also made them re-evaluate what was important to include within their wedding day. Beth had become more anxious since the numerous lockdowns imposed on us all so it was paramount that she felt comfortable and was able to enjoy her day, like every Bride should.

Incorporating their love of countryside pursuits into the theme of the day, antlers framed a beautiful rustic wooden arch which had been lovingly dressed with faux flowers ready for Beth and Adam to say their I Dos.

In keeping with the country vibe, the Groomsmen arrived in tweed attire whilst Beth looked picture perfect in a PrimaDonna gown as she pulled up to the Main Barn in a Land Rover Defender.

To ease Beth’s nerves, they opted to do the legal part of the wedding a couple of days before the wedding day with their witnesses, so that they could have Celebrant Sarah Baker conduct a personalised blessing including their love story which was beautifully narrated.

Whilst guests were on the rear lawn enjoying drinks and canapes in the May sunshine, Beth and Adam continued their blessing in private with the exchanging of vows and rings. A glass of fizz later, the new Mr and Mrs Thurlbourn were announced at the top of the stairs and showered with confetti before being congratulated by their nearest and dearest.

In keeping with their wishes of a relaxed and informal day, a sumptuous barbecue was sizzling away in the background as guests congregated around Beth and Adam’s wedding cake for that all important official photograph. Ready to feast, guests soon found their seats in the Woodshed, tucking into a delicious selection of meats and salads. Luckily, for those with a sweet tooth, Beth and Adam’s showstopping wedding cake (made by an extremely talented Mother of the Groom!) was served with fresh berries to conclude the day’s formalities before the evening celebrations began.

As the sun set and evening guests arrived, Beth and Adam snuck out to take advantage of the golden hour window in the parkland before hitching a lift in the Land Rover Defender once more to capture some true countryside shots!

A quick dress change later and with drinks flowing, our happy couple made their way to the dance floor ready for their first dance before guests joined in and partied the night away.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Thulrbourn - you did it!
