Bethan & Chris - October '22

Bethan and Chris both swiped right on Tinder and since then, they've been inseparable. With Bethan’s love for horses and Chris’ passion for cricket, both hobbies were incorporated into their wedding day in such thoughtful ways.

Planning has been easy with these two lovebirds, they had a clear vision upon booking the venue of what they wanted to achieve for their special day and it was smooth sailing from there onwards.

Car loads of props, flowers and helpers arrived bright and early on the Friday morning; all eager to transform the space into Bethan and Chris’ dream set up. We welcomed Quirk Events back for a second week in a row to string their ever popular festoon lights throughout the beams in the Woodshed before Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom were let loose with their floristry skills. Cricket bats of all shapes and sizes featured throughout the barn whilst horse shoes were tied to the ceremony aisle chairs and dotted around the window sills to bring all the luck to the soon to be newlyweds. With Autumn well and truly here to stay, subtle touches of burgundy ran through the barn which stood out beautifully when the sun shone through the floor to ceiling windows.

When you book a wedding in October, you naturally mentally prepare yourself that there may be limited time spent outside depending on the weather. Garden games and crazy golf were always hugely important to Bethan and Chris for the drinks reception and as if by magic, bright blue skies and sunshine filled the skies on the morning of the wedding and were here to stay - not what was expected at all!

As Chris attached surprise ‘Bridal’ tassels to Bethan’s ‘Fairfax and Favor’ boots ready for her change of shoes later in the day, guests started to arrive for the ceremony. Registrar Kate had been specifically requested by Chris to conduct their ceremony as she has watched him grow up over the years, being Chris’ Grandma’s neighbour, which was another special touch to their big day.

Bethan had a big entourage and it was down to Page Boys Nathan and AJ to lead the way, safely clutching the rings until needed. For the extra cute factor, they were followed by two pairs of Flower Girls before it was the adults turn to make their entrance in the form of two Bridesmaids and a Man of Honour. Last but by no means least, it was then the turn of our beautiful Bride accompanied by her very proud Dad.

Enjoying glasses of fizz on the rear lawn, the competitive streak between friends and family alike heated up with the battle of the lawn games and crazy golf course. Basking in the warmth of autumnal sunshine, memories were captured by photographer Maddie before Father of the Bride invited guests to take their seats for dining.

An indulgent spread of afternoon tea delights were soon served on Bethan and Chris’ vintage china sets which they had been collecting since becoming engaged, adding to the quintessential British tradition.

With an evening photobooth, DJ, S’mores bar and another 100 guests joining to kick start their married life, the new Mr and Mrs Rolfe partied hard into the night surrounded by the people who love them the most.

Congratulations to a wonderful couple, we wish you so much love and happiness as husband and wife xx
