Carenza & Jamie - Oct '24

Jamie and Carenza planned their wedding to fall at the end of October as the nights are drawing in and the leaves are turning and they fully embraced the season through their wedding.

Jamie and Carenza grasped the importance of planning a bespoke wedding day that suited their unique vision early on in the planning process. When guiding you through planning for your big day, we try not to use tick boxes but, instead, we start with your story and the way that you want to celebrate your love for each other. This can feel difficult for some couples if there are external pressures to conform to a traditional celebration but we are here to support you with a range of ideas and a wealth of experience on how to do things a little differently.

Carenza and Jamie wished for their exchange of vows to be a private and intimate part of the day, inviting just a handful of close family members to witness their nuptials. The smaller gathering allowed for a creative use of the ceremony space. Guests were seated on a sofa and armchairs upholstered in luxurious velvets in an autumnal palette and the couple were framed by a breathtaking giant flower meadow.

With just a handful of loved ones, a micro ceremony offers the freedom to create a deeply personal experience. This type of ceremony allows you to truly connect with every guest, making each moment feel special and intentional.

The flower meadow was a unique focal point for the ceremony, providing a natural landscape of foliage and flowers. Selected blooms of hydrangeas, roses and chrysanthemums were intertwined with foliage laden with berries, fruits and an autumnal rainbow of leaves. Bud vases of flowers and foliage were spread throughout the rest of the barn to continue the rich colour palette.

Following the ceremony, our couple returned to the onsite accommodation for an intimate celebration with close family before returning to the barn to be greeted by their guests waiting to shower them with confetti.

Guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in the cosy, candle-lit barn. Carenza and Jamie had used a variety of candle styles to add visual interest: tall, coloured taper candles for a dramatic effect, tea lights for a delicate touch, and pillar candles in glass lanterns. The gentle light enhanced the colours of the autumn foliage and created a romantic ambiance.

Speeches were given from the foliage covered steps inside the barn to continue the relaxed and informal feel to the day. Following this, guests took their seats for dining in the Woodshed. The colourful autumnal foliage was carried through into this room and coloured taper candles sat alongside bud vases featuring richly coloured statement florals.

Following dining, the couple cut their beautiful cake. Adorned with fresh autumnal fruits, touches of foliage and cute little modelled acorns, it looked good enough to eat!

This gorgeous couple continued to do things their own way into the evening party as Jamie grabbed his guitar and took to the stage to play a few numbers alongside the band.

Jamie and Carenza, we applaud you for confidently putting together the day of your dreams, and what a day it was!  Congratulations!
