Charlotte and Marcus first visited CHB with a very specific date in mind that they wished to be married on. As luck would have it, this was the last available summer date of that year - from that point on, their plans felt destined to fall into place perfectly!
This party loving couple also had a good idea of how they wanted their day to flow. Nothing too formal, a very relaxed vibe throughout the day and an epic party in the evening!
They carefully chose recommended suppliers to fit the feel they were going for and cleverly assigned their budget to the areas that would make the most impact - both for their guests on the day and for the two of them throughout their planning journey.
By choosing fewer suppliers who were experienced at working together, our couple were able to get to know these suppliers, and vice versa, meaning they could trust that a cohesive look would be brought together with minimal stress to the couple. With a new baby at home, Charlotte had sensibly planned to delegate the majority of the wedding set up to the industry experts meaning that she could relax and enjoy the preparations.
Don’t forget that handing over the set up doesn’t mean that you have to relinquish all control if this feels like too much for you. There may be some areas that you wish to pass to others and some elements that you really want to put in place for yourselves and most couples opt for a bit of both!
The minimalist, modern, Ibiza style look that Charlotte and Marcus created was achieved with a neutral colour palette of stark whites against natural stone colours and warm caramel hues.
The ceremony was set on the lawn with wooden bench seating and a rustic archway marking the top of the aisle adorned with large floral arrangements in neutral tones. Confetti was placed on the benches ready to shower the newlyweds as they returned down the aisle as husband and wife.
Live music was a welcome addition to proceedings and ramped up the party atmosphere as people enjoyed drinks on the lawn while the talented Chloe Ellis captured photographs of our Bride and Groom with their nearest and dearest. With the bar open following the ceremony, guests were able to choose a drink of their choice and the summery cocktails were flowing to get everyone in the mood for a great party.
Inside, our long rustic wooden dining tables were dressed with textured table runners and an assortment of stoneware and glass medicine bottles with dried floral stems. Each place setting had a favour for the guest in the form of a cheeky pair of brightly coloured heart shaped sunglasses. These were a great nod to the couples’ personality and were great fun for photographs.
In the evening, following a first dance from the Bride and Groom, the DJ ramped up the tunes and the party went off! The perfect end to a super fun day for all.
