Chelsea & Lewis - Jun '25

When we first met Chelsea and Lewis, we knew they were going to be an absolute pleasure to work with. They were focussed on the elements of the day that would ensure that their guests had a really enjoyable day and managed to nail all the details. 

Guests arrived to find the venue bathed in early-summer sunshine, with drinks served beneath the open-fronted cart shed on the lawn. It was the perfect place to mingle before the day began — shaded yet still open to the incredible country views. Drinks flowed as friends greeted each other, laughter filled the air, and the anticipation of the ceremony built. The gentle hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses set a wonderfully relaxed tone; a prelude to a day that would be as natural and unhurried as it was beautiful.

When it was time for the ceremony, guests made their way inside the rustic barn, which had been transformed into a space of soft, romantic elegance. The couple stood framed between sets of tall plinths topped with huge floral arrangements. A breathtaking mix of nude, blush, and cream blooms, with trailing greenery adding a touch of movement and texture.

Overhead, cream drapes cascaded from the beams, softening the barn’s structure, while giant warm light bulbs glowed in an overhead installation, casting a golden hue across the scene. The combination of rustic timber and elegant styling created a setting that was both grand and intimate.

As the couple exchanged vows, sunlight streamed through the open doors, illuminating the space and adding to the sense of magic. 

When the newlyweds stepped out of the barn, they were met with a shower of confetti and cheers from their guests. The afternoon sun wrapped everyone in its warmth as the celebration continued on the lawn. With drinks flowing and the countryside stretching out beyond, it was the perfect summer scene.

While the couple slipped away for photographs among the golden fields, guests were seated in the Woodshed for a relaxed afternoon tea reception. The tables were beautifully styled and, overhead, greenery installations and decorative lighting created a soft canopy effect, adding texture and romance to the space.

Plates of finger sandwiches, scones, and miniature desserts were served alongside tea and champagne — a charmingly English way to celebrate the start of married life.

As the sun began to dip, the celebration flowed seamlessly into the evening. Guests made their way through to the bar for cocktails, laughter, and a turn in the photo booth. The scent of delicious food filled the air as the BBQ was fired up for a relaxed, sociable feast that perfectly suited the mood of the day. 

Inside the barn, music started up and the dance floor soon came alive. Guests swapped heels for bare feet, cocktails in hand, as the singer played and the celebration continued late into the night.

As the stars twinkled overhead, the couple and some of their guests made their way to the bell tent accommodation nestled amongst the trees, just a stone’s throw from the barn. Softly lit and beautifully styled, it offered a magical end to a perfect day — a night under the canvas, surrounded by friends, laughter, and the gentle sounds of the countryside.

This June barn wedding was the definition of relaxed countryside elegance. The combination of rustic charm and thoughtful styling created an atmosphere that felt warm, welcoming, and deeply personal. With nature as their backdrop and the sun shining all day long, the couple couldn’t have asked for a more perfect start to their married life.
