There's something magical about a crisp November day—cool breezes, golden sunlight, and the rich, earthy tones of autumn. Chloe and Sam’s travel-themed November wedding embodied the spirit of adventure. With burnt orange as the main colour palette, this wedding was a beautiful blend of rustic charm and wanderlust-inspired details.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by an inviting setup that hinted at the travel theme right from the start. The entrance of the barn featured vintage suitcases, globes, and travel trunks, alongside a striking orange order of service sign that this talented couple had made themselves.
After a couple of cheeky cocktails to welcome guests, the ceremony took place inside the barn, with the couple exchanging vows beneath macrame hanging lights with a gorgeous backdrop of burnt orange and ivory drapes that perfectly complemented the wooden beams and exposed brick of the barn.
Bridesmaids dresses were navy blue while the Maid of Honour wore a deep orange dress. Chloe’s dress was a full princess gown with sparkle details and floral appliques. The bouquets reflected the colour scheme featuring burnt orange roses, delicate daisies, blue delphiniums and blue nigella.
After drinks and photographs, as the sun began to set, guests were invited back inside the barn for a seated dinner. Long wooden tables were set with burnt orange runners, and giant wooden boards ready to present the barbecue feast. Guests were given personalised sunglasses which really came into their own at the photo booth later, and each table was named after a city symbolising the couple’s shared passion for exploring the world together.
After dinner, the barn transformed into a lively dance floor. The DJ played a mix of classic hits and modern tracks, encouraging everyone to dance the night away. The couple’s first dance was a romantic slow spin to a timeless love song, surrounded by their loved ones.
The newlyweds cut their cake which ceremoniously opened the dessert table piled with treats of all types for guests to indulge in.
For those looking for a break from dancing, a cosy spot with huge floor cushions and blankets was provided on the mezzanine and a roaring fire pit outside provided the perfect spot to relax and chat. Guests could also visit a photo booth filled with travel-themed props.
As the night wore on, the couple treated their guests to a late-night snack station featuring their favourite comfort foods and the s’mores bar by the outdoor fire pit was another highlight, with guests gathering around to roast marshmallows under the clear November sky.
This travel-themed barn wedding was a testament to how couples can infuse their personal passions into their big day. The combination of rustic barn charm, rich burnt orange décor, and wanderlust-inspired details created an atmosphere that was both intimate and adventurous.
Congratulations Chloe and Sam.
