July weddings often bring warm sunshine and long summer days, but as we all know, the British weather has a mind of its own. For Ellena and Robert, a few rain showers couldn’t dampen the joy or the celebration. Their day was filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable moments from start to finish.

The day began with a traditional church ceremony just a few miles from the barn. Surrounded by family and friends, Ellena and Robert exchanged vows beneath the beautiful architecture and soft glow of stained glass. There’s something timeless and romantic about a church wedding, and this one was no exception—the atmosphere was full of emotion as the couple said “I do.”

Once the confetti had been thrown and happy cheers filled the churchyard, guests made their way through the countryside to continue the celebrations.

As guests arrived at the barn for the drinks reception, the weather was still keeping everyone on their toes. But with glasses of fizz waiting, spirits were high and the atmosphere was instantly warm and relaxed.

The barn buzzed with conversation while the rain pattered softly outside, creating a wonderfully cosy backdrop for guests to mingle and settle into the celebrations.

Thankfully, the skies eased just enough for the newlyweds to slip outside with their photographer. The surrounding fields looked beautifully lush after the morning rain, providing the perfect countryside backdrop for their photos. Emma Shaw was on hand to capture the most perfect picture as always! 

Guests soon followed, taking the opportunity to enjoy some fresh air and chat outdoors between the passing showers. It was one of those days where the mix of indoor comfort and outdoor moments worked perfectly.

As everyone was seated in the Woodshed for the wedding breakfast, the room came alive with laughter, clinking glasses, and heartfelt speeches. Long wooden tables, soft summer florals, and ambient lighting created a warm and inviting setting for the celebrations to continue.

The couple’s chosen menu went down brilliantly, with guests enjoying a relaxed, delicious meal before the evening party began.

As night fell, the barn transformed into a lively party space. The DJ had everyone on the dance floor in no time, and the atmosphere was full of energy and joy. Whether guests were dancing, catching up at the bar, or stepping outside by the firepit, the evening flowed perfectly.

Even with the unpredictable July weather, nothing could take away from the fun or the sense of celebration. It was a joy to host Ellena and Robert's wedding and we wish the happy couple a lifetime of happiness!
