Ellie & Jamie - June '22

When working with a meticulous perfectionist like Ellie, we weren’t surprised to see an A-list team of suppliers ready to deliver the best day of her life for her.

The week leading up to the wedding saw some of the hottest temperatures on record and set up day was no different. However, the heat didn’t stop their team of helpers from transforming the venue into Ellie’s vision.

A first for us at CHB was to host round dining tables in the Woodshed, which was a deal breaker for Groom Jamie when they booked us and we are so glad as we loved it! Authentic Charm softened the dark beams with romantic, white voiles to compliment the linen draped over the dining tables before placing dainty decorative gin bottles filled with colourful meadow flowers to finish the look. Meanwhile, the Main Barn was beautifully dressed with chair voiles, ceiling drapes and a wooden arch showcasing a dramatic floral arrangement ready for Ellie and Jamie to say ‘I Do’.

Although we were all grateful for the drop of temperature on the morning of the wedding, none of us were expecting the chance of rain and it was touch and go as to whether guests would actually be able to enjoy the grounds throughout the day as planned. With a Plan B put in place with Jamie when he arrived, the final countdown was on and guests began to arrive including one of their VIPs, Reggie, Ellie and Jamie’s red labarador.

The weather cleared just as Ellie arrived for her grand entrance. As the Bridal March began, her three adorable Flower Girls made their way down the aisle first, closely followed by her beautiful Bridesmaids leaving only Ellie and her proud Dad to make their walk together. Jamie and Reggie (!) were blown away by the vision standing in front of them, so much so that Reggie barked right on cue each time vows were exchanged; giving his seal of approval.

We welcomed the Little Piggy Catering team on-site for the first time to host Ellie and Jamie’s day. Serving a feast of fresh, colourful sharing dishes, indulgent desserts and intricate canapes, it was great to see an all female team with a huge amount of talent leading the day so smoothly.

Jamie has a real passion for music, so the evening band was carefully selected by him and boy did he do good! Fuelled by freshly made pizza and cocktails, the dance floor was packed and ended the day on a high.

Congratulations Ellie and Jamie, what a wedding from start to finish - we hope you have the best time honeymooning in California later this year!
