Emma & Jordan - May '25

Emma and Jordan transformed the barn for their late May wedding. They created a soft and romantic space for the ceremony, with flowing ivory and rust coloured drapes hanging elegantly from the beams, gently catching the light. The couple’s chosen colour palette – rust, ivory, warm terracotta and natural tones – worked beautifully with the brickwork of the barn. It felt earthy yet elevated, relaxed yet refined.

Guests entered to the scent of dried florals - arrangements of dried palms and textured grasses marked the top of the aisle, while overhead, a dramatic pampas grass installation was hung like a dreamy cloud, it added height and texture to the space as the couple exchanged vows. It set the tone for the day: effortless, bohemian beauty.

After the ceremony, everyone spilled out onto the lawn, where drinks and canapés were served under open skies. We love this part of the day – the moment when guests can breathe out, clink glasses, and soak up the surroundings. Our lawn overlooks rolling countryside, and in the early afternoon sun, it provided the perfect backdrop for laughter, photos, and mingling.

Guests were invited back inside to the main barn for the wedding breakfast where our couple had dressed dining tables beautifully – rust runners, ivory napkins, coloured tall candles and dried flower bud vases creating a beautiful feel.

Guests were treated to a relaxed but delicious feast – generous sharing platters of roasted meats and vibrant seasonal vegetables - there’s something about passing food around a table that instantly makes people feel connected, and the barn was filled with the happy hum of conversation and clinking glasses.

After heartfelt speeches, the evening kicked off with signature cocktails served from the barrel bar: a fresh Mojito, a fruity Pink Gin Spritz, and the Groom’s favourite - a zesty Screwdriver, all garnished with fresh herbs and fruits and decorated with personalised cocktail stirrers.

Our courtyard space outside the front of the barn really comes into its own in the evening, with festoon lights flickering to life and fire pit crackling, while inside, our DJ began spinning the first tracks of the night – and the dancefloor was full in no time.

As midnight approached, many of the guests made their way to the bell tent village – one of the things that makes weddings here so special. The bell tents, arranged in a gentle arc around the edge of the field, offered a magical place to end the night. Each tent was styled with soft bedding, fairy lights, and rustic touches – creating a cosy retreat beneath the stars.

The couple’s vision was clear from the start – relaxed, stylish, personal – and it was a joy to help bring it to life.  There are some weddings that leave a lasting impression – where everything from the styling to the atmosphere just clicks perfectly. This was one of those days. Our barn was the perfect canvas for their creativity, and we loved seeing it filled with love, laughter, and bohemian details. It was a pleasure to host such a heartfelt celebration. Congratulations Emma and Jordan!
