Gemma & Gus - Aug '25

When Gemma and Gus began planning their wedding, they knew they wanted a day that felt relaxed, full of joy, and deeply personal. Surrounded by countryside views and rustic charm, a barn venue was the perfect choice to bring their vision to life. Their celebration blended elegant details with heartfelt touches, creating a day that truly reflected them as a couple.

The ceremony took place in the Main Barn, where soft neutral and burnt orange drapes framed the rustic beams. The aisle was lined with terracotta pots of various shapes and sizes all filled with lush green plants - a genius way of bringing the outdoors inside and adding a natural, organic feel.

The couple exchanged vows in front of their family and friends in a ceremony filled with emotion, laughter, and love and after the registrar announced them as husband and wife, guests made their way outside for one of the most joyful moments of the day: a colourful confetti shower.

With the formalities complete, the party truly began. On the lawn, guests were welcomed with glasses of refreshing Pimm’s, brimming with fruit and herbs. It was the perfect choice for a summer celebration—light, colourful, and quintessentially English.

Trays of canapés circulated as groups of friends and family mingled; chatting, laughing, and soaking up the relaxed atmosphere. These moments on the lawn gave Gemma and Gus a chance to enjoy their first sips as newlyweds, surrounded by the people who meant the most to them.

In the Woodshed, tables were dressed with simple yet striking décor. Glass bottles filled with colourful dried flowers created a vibrant display, while tapered candles added warmth and intimacy to the setting. Each place was carefully set with beautiful place cards decorated with pressed flowers—thoughtful little details that guests couldn’t help but admire.

As the couple entered to cheers and applause, the room came alive with excitement, setting the tone for a feast to remember.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the barn transformed into a vibrant party space. A live band struck up, filling the room with music that had guests heading straight for the dance floor. For those needing a refuel, a food truck parked outside served up hearty evening snacks. The relaxed vibe was a big hit, giving guests the chance to chat under the stars before diving back into the festivities.

Up on the mezzanine level, a photo booth offered endless entertainment. Guests donned props, pulled silly faces, and created keepsakes that Gemma and Gus will treasure forever.

Gemma and Gus’ wedding was everything they had hoped for: relaxed, joyful, and filled with thoughtful details. From the burnt orange drapes and terracotta aisle plants to the Pimm’s on the lawn and the candlelit dinner tables, every element reflected their style and personalities.

The combination of rustic charm, elegant styling, delicious food, and vibrant entertainment created a celebration that their guests will never forget. For Gemma and Gus, it was the perfect way to begin their married life together—surrounded by love, laughter, and the magic of a barn wedding.
