Gemma & Josh - July'21

Gemma and Josh were blessed with beautiful summer sunshine and endless blue skies, allowing them to make the most of the outside space for a wedding day with a garden party feel.

Bridal preparations took place just five minutes from the venue in the Old Coach House. Gemma and her squad enjoyed a morning together having hair and makeup done before heading out into the garden to have photographs taken in their wedding outfits!

This bridal party really were #weddingattiregoals!

Gemma was a vision in her simplistic Stephanie Allin gown with a beautiful sheer overlay top with botanical detailing. A gorgeous full length veil was paired with a crown of pale pink, pale blue and white flowers for a chic, modern look.

Bridesmaids were in full length pale pink, one shouldered dresses and the groomsmen were in blue-grey three piece suits with floral patterned ties. Mini versions of the outfits were super cute for the page boys and bridesmaids.

Gemma and Josh had always spoken about holding their ceremony in the Woodshed and stylists Authentic Charm brought the happy couple’s vision together with candles in lanterns lining the aisle and draping over the beams to form a beautiful backdrop for their vows. Florists, Ragged Robin, added a floral arrangement on the backdrop and pew ends to complete the look. Ribbons on pew ends and in the bridal party’s bouquets added a delicate splash of colour to tie everything together.

The highlight of the ceremony was definitely little Rudi giving a reading. He was very composed and read beautifully in front of his super proud mummy. Such a beautiful addition to the ceremony making it extremely personal and a real family affair.

Acoustic music from the talented Lee Vann also added to the atmosphere and entertained guests as the newlyweds attended the paperwork.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed the gorgeous weather on the lawns, surrounded by fields of golden wheat, while photographs were taken. The couple had hired tables and chairs so, those who weren’t playing football, sat and took in the views with a glass of something fizzy in hand.

Guests were seated in the main barn for the wedding breakfast. Our long rustic banqueting tables were decorated with gin bottles containing floral stems in the pale blue, pale pink and white colour palette to gorgeous effect. Funnells Kitchen served a stunningly presented afternoon tea with all the classics - finger sandwiches, scones, cakes and mini trifles to name a few. Perfect for a warm summer afternoon.

Following speeches and with the formalities complete, Gemma underwent an outfit change. The weather was perfect for her spaghetti strap gown and her flower crown was swapped out for a sparkly headpiece ready to hit the dance floor!

The balmy evening spoiled us with perfect dappled sunlight perfect for those romantic couple’s photos. Photographer Jeremy was determined to make the most of the variety of backdrops, exploring the parkland, the grain store and the wooded areas amongst others.

Authentic Charm had strung twinkling fairy lights from the ceiling of the Cartshed and Lee Vann worked his magic so that the air was filled with music and laughter as Gemma and Josh’s nearest and dearest danced under the stars!

Words from the Newlyweds:

"We had the best day! It all came together beautifully and the venue was just stunning. We have received so many compliments! We utilised the whole venue for our day, from the ceremony in the woodshed, the wedding breakfast in the barn and the old cartshed for our dance floor. Eleanor went above and beyond helping to plan our day, and then replanning it when we were caught out by the lockdown extension! It was literally a perfect day in a beautiful setting."
