Our school sweethearts were the definition of love and marriage from the moment we met them. Living out of county, and with an imminent new job on the horizon for Jamie, they blew us away with their organisation from the onset.
Falling in love with the barn upon their first visit and in particular, the idea of marrying in the cosiness of the Woodshed on an autumnal afternoon in October, that is exactly what they did! To compliment the dark setting, the Groomsmen donned smart and sophisticated tuxedos whilst the Bridesmaids wore gorgeous, satin sage green gowns. Georgina arrived in a suitably stylish Range Rover and stepped out in the autumnal sunshine looking picture perfect, even more beautiful than she already was day to day. Her cathedral length veil caught in the breeze as she clutched onto her bouquet of gypsophila and foliage lovingly made by Jamie’s Nan, beautifully classic and elegant, just like her.
The Woodshed was full to the brim of Georgina and Jamie’s friends and family, from near and far and as the bridal entrance music began, all eyes were on the aisle, to see Jamie catch his first glimpse of his soon to be wife. There can’t have been a dry eye in the house as Georgina and her proud Dad made their way down the aisle, we certainly had a tear in our eye witnessing Georgina and Jamie’s love story continue. Heartfelt vows were exchanged, where we learnt their hopes and dreams of their future together. Declared as the new Mr and Mrs, Jamie fist pumped the air in celebration as his childhood sweetheart was now officially his wife!
Making the most of the dry and sunny October weather, guests spilled out onto the lawn to shower their newly weds with confetti before enjoying some warming hot chocolate and mulled wine, to the sweet sounds of a live violinist for that added entertainment factor.
Meanwhile, our rustic dining tables were set for a feast to be served in the Main Barn by Back to Your Place. Jamie and Georgina really wanted a street food vibe so chose a selection of dishes to suit every guest's tastes and some couldn’t believe how delicious the dishes were given they opted for an entirely vegan menu! To make some room for dessert, guests sat back with a glass of wine and enjoyed a trio of speeches before indulging in homemade brownies and sticky toffee pudding, the perfect end to the perfect meal.
Later, we welcomed a band from Nottinghamshire to take centre stage for the evening. Teamed with pizza and further evening guests, Jamie and Georgina’s wedding ended on a high with all their nearest and dearest on the dance floor to toast the happy couple.
Congratulations to the sweetest duo, we can’t wait to see what adventure comes next.
