Hannah & Phil - May '22

Hannah is a woman who knows her own mind and as a bride this translated into determination to make her wedding day a day built around the people, places and memories that are important to her and her husband-to-be, Phil.

A huge part of this, like any wedding day, was the marriage ceremony itself. Hannah and Phil decided to legally wed in an intimate ceremony ahead of their wedding day giving them two opportunities to celebrate their nuptials.

They then opted to invite their friends and family to witness a celebrant-led ceremony and all that comes with it. The appeal of a celebrant led ceremony comes from the huge potential to personalise this part of the day. All of the celebrants that we have experience of have a foundational belief that it is important that the couple choose a celebrant who they ‘click’ with on a personal level. This initial connection allows the celebrant to understand each couple’s family situation, passions and beliefs and to incorporate them within the ceremony. This can take many forms including personalised vows, handfasting, jumping the broom, candle lighting, planting a tree, taking a shot of tequila and many many more - the limit is your imagination! Hannah and Phil’s ceremony included live music, heartfelt vows, poems and readings from loved ones and candle lighting and it could not have been more personal.

The ceremony took place in the Woodshed providing an atmospheric backdrop with an abundance of twinkly fairy lights and flickering candles - a truly magical set up.

Hannah arrived from her preparations at the Old Coach House in a beautiful sheer-backed dress with stunning lace and button detailing and a long lace train. She was accompanied down the aisle by her ever-proud father and her lovely sister in the role of bridesmaid. Hannah came to a stop alongside her husband-to-be framed by beautiful floral decorations on the beams and a table filled with flowers, candles and photos of those important people who were unable to attend the ceremony and were deeply missed.

Following the ceremony, it was time to throw confetti before enjoying drinks and canapes in the sunshine while taking in the views and some live music.

Guests made their way back into the barn to enjoy the wedding breakfast before charging their glasses for beautifully delivered, heartfelt speeches from Bridesmaid Isabelle, the Best Man and the Father of the Bride.

Tables were decorated with bottles and jars of flowers in delicate shades of pink and cream and a large floral arrangement with candles was positioned across from the Bride and Groom.

After cutting their impressive three tier cake, Hannah and Phil took a stroll in the grounds with their photographer and made the most of the stunning abundance of greenery punctuated with swathes of delicate cow parsley on the parkland.

At last the time had come to hit the dance floor and party the night away to the live band. A fabulous conclusion to a very special day. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Denby!
