Curds Hall Barn is a venue blessed with many different spaces and, as an exclusive use venue, all are available to be utilised by you and your guests, all day. Katie and Will embraced this and took their guests on a tour of the entire venue throughout their wedding day making the most of each area.
The day began with our always-smiling Bride, Katie, and her bridal party making their way down the aisle in the Main Barn. The light and airy feel of the barn was accentuated with pops of spring colour placed on window ledges and sage green draping on the ceremony backdrop. The use of gorgeous seasonal flowers was evident and added to the natural beauty of the scheme.
The ceremony was captured in the most unique way by the brushstrokes of illustrator Owen Matthews who painted the ceremony live. The most beautiful memento of a very special day.
Following an emotional exchange of vows, guests made their way out of the barn to shower the newlyweds with confetti on the lawn steps. The rear lawn provides a lovely space to mingle for drinks and canapes and to enjoy the views. There is plenty of space to accommodate all sorts of entertainment from more traditional garden games to the more unusual portrait painting and a visit from alpacas!
Following group photographs on the lawn, guests found the record album cover that featured their name in order to locate their seats for dining as the group moved into the Woodshed. The dining space was decorated with fairy lights and drapes. Tables featured coloured glassware and napkins with bud vases of more seasonal flowers. Place cards were concert tickets and favours were wrapped in pages of vintage music score, continuing the musical feel.
After speeches, guests moved through to the Main Barn to enjoy the dancefloor as the band played. At the other end of the room, Katie and Will had hired in pallet furniture to create a chilled bar area for their guests to enjoy cocktails. More candles and fairy lights added to a relaxed party atmosphere.
In the evening, outside the front of the barn under the festoon lighting, food trucks pulled in ready to feed the partygoers with crepes and toasties around the fire pit.
For those who didn’t fancy the dance floor, our couple had created a breakout area on the mezzanine so that guests could enjoy the music while chilling out. The addition of tattoo and glitter stations and a selfie booth were great fun and will definitely provide some great memories of a fabulous evening.
Katie and Will’s guests spread the party atmosphere into every corner of Curds Hall Barn and a great day was had by all.
Congratulations Katie, Will and little Theo!
