We had a feeling, as soon as we welcomed Kirrie and Sam for a viewing, that they would be a CHB couple and the past 13 months of planning their big day with them has been a dream.
Always wanting to bring the outdoors in, and falling in love with a styling concept created by Smoke and Wildwood, Array Wedding and Event Hire and Quirk Events at an open evening we hosted last year, they had a clear vision of how they wanted their big day to look. Entrusting the talent of those three suppliers, Kirrie and Sam sat back and watched the Woodshed and Main Barn be transformed with varied shades of green draping, drop festoon lights and an abundance of foliage before hanging their bespoke ‘Forever Young’ neon sign to frame the soon to be Mr and Mrs Young.
Kirrie has been the ultimate planner from start to finish, leaving no detail unthought of. Sam also played his part in the planning process by designing all of the signage and stationery complete with a personalised seal. We could tell the level of thought that went into every aspect of the design by the sheer fact that the shade of napkin complemented the colour of the place card beautifully - this level is what us wedding planners live for!
Sam and Best Man/Cousin/MC arrived dressed to impress in black tie attire with velvet jackets and oversized bow ties. The sun shone brightly over the barn as guests were greeted by the sweet sounds of the Kavolini string quartet ahead of being invited to take their seats for Kirrie’s imminent arrival.
As predicted, Kirrie was of course on time and stepped out of the car in a slinky satin gown with a sophisticated slit teamed with a Cathedral length veil and Hollywood curls - absolutely picture perfect.
As guests were invited to stand for the arrival of the bridal party, the Bridesmaids made their entrance to Beyonce’s ‘Halo’ before the string quartet swiftly changed their music sheets in readiness to play Etta James’ ‘At Last’ for Kirrie’s big reveal. Emotions were high and it was clear to see just how much love was between our happy couple, as they were officially announced as Mr and Mrs Young to their friends and family.
Spilling out onto the lawn, guests were greeted with chilled glasses of fizz by the B and R Dining team alongside a delicious selection of canapes in the May sunshine.
Before long, dinner was served and guests were given the opportunity to fully admire the creative vision of our newlyweds from the comfort of their seats in the Woodshed.
And just like that, the day’s formalities came to an end as Kirrie and Sam headed out onto the parkland for some quality couple time in the hope of catching some golden hour magic with photographer Emma.
With evening guests now in the house, the cake was cut, the first dance was danced and then the bar was hit resulting in a packed dance floor until midnight struck.
Congratulations to two of the loveliest people who really deserve nothing but love and happiness together and forever more.
