We watched the clouds move overhead and make way for sunshine just in time for Melissa and her entourage’s arrival in VW camper vans. This day had been a long time coming with the happy couple having to rearrange their plans several times due to the pandemic. Their feelings were summed up perfectly by their welcome sign which showed their original wedding date and ‘finally’ welcomed their guests.
Melissa was breathtaking in a stunning gown and veil as she and her mum followed the bridesmaids and adorable flower girl down the aisle to meet her, understandably emotional, groom. Benn and his groomsmen were looking dapper but their efforts were made in vain as the little ones were always going to steal the show in their super cute little outfits!
The couple chose a gorgeous decor scheme of neutrals, greens and nudes which suited the open brickwork and wooden beams of the barn beautifully. Drapes were hung over the lower beams in the Woodshed to frame the aisle for the ceremony along with large floral arrangements and white candle lanterns. A loose floral arrangement along the registry table finished the ceremony area perfectly and long floral table runners were perfect on the long rustic tables for the wedding breakfast.
After a three-course meal and moving speeches, guests spilled out onto the lawn to enjoy garden games and the incredible views. Our newlyweds performed the last of the formalities by cutting their incredibly detailed three-tiered white, green and gold cake before dancing their first dance as husband and wife with their nearest and dearest gathered around them.
Strawberry Daiquiris and Cosmopolitans were on the bar menu (along with plenty of shots!) as guests partied into the night to celebrate this long-awaited day.
Congratulations Melissa and Benn, we were honoured to host your special day. We hope you enjoy your break and wish you and your gorgeous babies every happiness for the future.
