Rosie & Tom - July '22

Rosie and Tom were one of our first ever bookings pre-pandemic, so we had plenty of time to get excited for their big day and it did not disappoint.

Mum, Amanda, was heavily involved in the planning and prep behind the scenes, wanting to ensure Rosie had the day of her dreams which was so touching to witness.

Without a shadow of a doubt, we expected set up day to be of military precision and it didn’t disappoint; every box was labelled with what was inside and also which area of the venue it belonged to! Celebration Cars and Events had arrived earlier to position their show stopper blossom trees in the Woodshed, to frame Rosie and Tom during their wedding breakfast, and wow, what an impact they had to the space.

The morning of the wedding saw a surprise phone call from Dermot O’Leary to our beautiful Bride as part of Radio 2’s wedding feature each week which had been arranged by Amanda. There was not a dry eye in the Old Coach House as Amanda and Rosie spoke to Dermot openly about their journey together; even us suppliers at the barn adding the finishing touches had a little tear in our eye!

Elsewhere back at the venue, lit up LOVE letters were set and Tom’s, no longer surprise, crazy golf course was laid out on the rear lawn ready to entertain family and friends alike during the drinks reception.

Rosie arrived right on cue for the ceremony but then had to make a quick dash back to the Old Coach House having forgotten her Bridal bouquet in her haste to be on time. After making Tom sweat a little, we decided to let the loved up couple be reunited at the end of the aisle and finally become husband and wife.

Given Tom and Rosie’s wedding was in one of the hottest months of the year on record, guests were able to enjoy the outside space (and shade of the Cartshed!) more than usual. As Pimms and beers were flowing, the all important group shots were captured before a delicious Great British menu of fish and chips was served in the Woodshed.

An afternoon of acoustic music and traditional ice cream allowed guests to sit back and enjoy the views and summer sunshine before more of Rosie and Tom’s friends arrived to kick start the evening party.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Keene, what a day from start to finish - enjoy your honeymoon!
