Sammi & Ben - July '24

Updated: Aug 21

We finally had a day full of blue skies and sunshine for Sammi and Ben to celebrate their marriage with their closest friends and family in a spectacular July wedding.

We heard so many wonderful comments around the couple’s style and how they had brought it to life at Curds Hall Barn in an awe inspiring way. The muted natural tones of the decor reflected the surrounding golden wheatfields that provided a beautiful backdrop to the drinks reception.  As the guests travelled around the venue they were able to find a spot to soak in the atmosphere, whether that was outside on the lawn with a glass of prosecco, laughing under the festoon lights next to the fire pit, dancing the night away on the dancefloor or snuggled on the sofas by the bar.

There were smiles and glistening eyes as the guests walked into the dining area which had a subtle pokemon theme! The guests searched the seating plan for their table (named after Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Squirtle or Charizard!) and then found their place cards were little photographs of themselves which inevitably initiated much laughter and sharing of anecdotes. These were a great idea to start conversation between those who may not have met yet but were seated together for dining.

As guests took their seats and shared their pictures, our newlyweds were whisked down the road to our wildflower field to have photographs taken amongst the stunning swathes of purple blooms that had opened just in time for their big day.

Being a farm-based venue in the Norfolk countryside, we pride ourselves on being able to provide a multitude of countryside backdrops for photographers to enjoy capturing our couples against. Depending on the season, the barn can be found amongst lush parkland, moody woodland, golden wheat or stubble fields, vibrant rapeseed fields, whimsical wildflower meadows and rustic brick and flint walls. The gorgeous Chloe Ellis Photography keeps us on our toes by asking for something new each time she visits and we love to assist as much as possible.

The bride and groom returned to the barn making a grand entrance into the dining room with the tunes pumped high and guests cheered and danced as they took their seats at their sweetheart table.

The speeches began with an emotional tribute from the bride’s daughter, whose speech left no dry eye in the house. The Groom followed with a loving tribute to his relationship with his now wife and the obvious excitement for their future life together. The final speech was enjoyed slightly less by Ben as his Best Man shared some hilarious stories about Ben’s past!

After a delicious wedding breakfast,, DJ Sabina got the party started with an awesome set to get everyone on the dance floor. Guests were ordering shots at the bar and partying on the dancefloor, chatting on the lawn and sharing stories and laughter by the firepit - something for everyone!

The fun, relaxed atmosphere transferred seamlessly from day to night and an awesome time was shared by everyone present. Sammi and Ben clearly know how to plan a party and celebrated the happiest day of their life in style. Congratulations guys!
