Shannon & Adam - May '25

Pond fest was a wedding we’d be looking forward to since Shannon and Adam booked their big day with us back in 2023.  The day was filled with good laughs and smiles all around and I don’t think we could’ve asked for much more! 


Nestled in the heart of spring, just as nature bursts into full bloom, the barn brought magic and meaning to a serene Saturday in mid-May. Shannon and Adam had a beautiful 10am ceremony with close friends and family which was a beautiful start to the day. A celebrant led ceremony by Adam’s uncle in the afternoon was an amazing celebration of the couples story together. A celebrant led ceremony is always something we will suggest to our couples. It brings a sense of calm to the day and it’s a great way to personalise readings and vows. 


Once the ceremony was complete, guests headed out to the rear lawn for drinks and canapes served by Back To Your Place. Luckily the weather was on our side which meant all guests could stay outside and enjoy garden games and have beautiful photos taken by The Bostons. Shannon and Adam chose to have our in-house bar open at 12pm which allowed guests to enjoy a large selection of drinks throughout the day. With the barn set in acres of parkland, it forms the perfect place for those all important group photographs. 


After a couple of hours on the lawn, it was time for guests to make their way back into the beautifully decorated barn. Decorations throughout the barn were simply perfect. Huge flower arrangements created by Floral Sisters sat at the top of the Main Barn as well as a hanging piece which sat centre stage. Greenery and hanging lights lined the dining room creating a cosy yet vibrant feel. The tables were decorated with bright coloured napkins, candles and even more greenery. Everything had been thought through perfectly! Daisy from Smoke and Wildwood had helped the couple plan and order all the perfect pieces from Quirk and Array and it all fell into place like a dream. 


Back To Your Place served a delicious two course meal which was thoroughly enjoyed by all! After dessert had been eaten, it was time for toast drinks to be served and the speeches to commence. Adam went first with an amazing speech followed by his Best Man to finish things off. 


After dining guests made their way back through to the Main Barn where the evening reception was a hive of activity. Shannon and Adam had booked Midnight Ruse to keep guests entertained throughout the evening and they sure did keep guests on the dance floor until midnight! Guests also enjoyed wood fired pizza from Monzu Pizza whilst sat around the fire pit reminiscing about a beautiful day.
