January weddings possess a unique charm that sets them apart. The crisp winter air creates an invigorating atmosphere, while the soft glow of candlelight casts a romantic ambiance. The bare branches of winter trees and glowing lights create a picturesque backdrop for stunning wedding photos.
Sherrie and Shaun embraced the winter season beautifully, incorporating warm tones and seasonal touches into every detail of their big day. A select guestlist of twenty three of their nearest and dearest gathered for an intimate ceremony followed by an enchanting wedding breakfast. The Main Barn and Woodshed were set up beautifully with one long dining table for an intimate atmosphere where guests could chat and share stories and memories with Sherrie and Shaun.
The couple had selected a luxurious and sophisticated colour scheme for their wedding, featuring deep reds and burgundy hues. This rich palette was incorporated into different aspects of the day, creating a cohesive and elegant atmosphere. To further enhance the ambiance of the Woodshed, contrasting draping was artfully arranged on the beams, adding depth and visual interest to the rustic space.
A winter wedding menu, focusing on hearty and comforting dishes, can leave a lasting impression on guests. Sherrie and Shaun's choice of a classic roast chicken perfectly embodied the warmth and cosiness of the season. To finish, the decadent sticky toffee pudding provided a sweet and indulgent ending to the meal, leaving guests very content.
It was soon time to hear a few heartfelt words from the bridal party ahead of an evening reception filled with dancing and laughter. Sherrie and Shaun chose to have a fish and chip van parked outside under the festoon lights with the fire pit warming guests as they chose from the menu.
The bar was busy with guests taking a liking to our signature cocktails and shots. Our wonderful couple chose to offer guests a Passionfruit Martini or Dark & Stormy and both went down a treat with guests!
Sherrie and Shaun's passion for creating a wedding that reflected their unique desires was truly inspiring. They fearlessly broke free from tradition and the expectations of others, which is something we wholeheartedly admire. Their wedding day was a beautiful testament to what weddings should truly be about: two people celebrating their love in the most authentic and meaningful way.
