Sophie & Ashley - Oct '25

ree

Autumn has arrived at the barn. The crisp air, golden light, and rich colours of the season create a naturally romantic backdrop just in time for Sophie and Ashleigh’s big day. With a burnt orange and neutral colour palette, flickering candlelight, and a relaxed, joy-filled atmosphere, this celebration was everything we love about the season rolled into one perfect day.

Guests were welcomed into the ceremony space which was dressed beautifully with elegant drapes softening the rustic beams and candles lining the aisle, creating a warm, intimate feel that complemented the natural textures of the wood and stone. At the end of the aisle stood a large hoop backdrop, adorned with floral arrangements in shades of burnt orange and cream, accented by sprigs of greenery and dried elements that tied the whole autumnal look together.

As the couple exchanged vows in front of this backdrop, sunlight streamed through the barn doors, lighting the space in golden tones.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered in the main barn for a relaxed drink reception of mimosas and nibbles before taking their seats for the elegant wedding breakfast. Tables were styled with effortless charm. Woven placemats, burnt orange table runners and bud vases filled with silk blooms and touches of dried grasses brought the room to life.

Following a starter and main course wedding breakfast, the dessert station was a true showstopper. Taking centre stage, the wedding cake stood proudly among an irresistible spread of sweet treats. From glazed doughnuts and gooey brownies to jars of sweets and marshmallows ready to toast over the firepit later in the evening, it was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. Guests were invited to help themselves, creating a fun and interactive dessert experience that everyone loved.

Outside, the countryside looked like a painting — trees turning shades of amber, copper, and gold, leaves gently swirling in the breeze. Against all expectations for an October day, the sun made a glorious appearance, bathing the grounds in soft, warm light.

Guests spilled outdoors to enjoy drinks and laughter beneath the autumn sky, warmed by the firepit. The relaxed atmosphere made the day feel more like a celebration among friends than a formal occasion — exactly what the couple had hoped for.

As the evening drew in, the band struck up their first tune, guests kicked off their shoes and filled the dance floor, laughter echoing through the barn as the night came alive with music and joy.

From start to finish, this autumnal barn wedding was the perfect blend of elegance and ease. The burnt orange and neutral tones brought warmth and sophistication, while the rustic setting and natural touches kept everything relaxed and real.

The day was full of fun, laughter, and those small, meaningful moments that make a wedding truly memorable — a heartfelt ceremony, delicious food, toasting marshmallows under the stars, and dancing late into the night surrounded by loved ones.

Congratulations Sophie and Ashleigh!
