Stacey & Rob - Jun '25

ree

There’s something truly special about a June wedding in the countryside — when the days are long, the skies are blue, and the air is warm with the promise of summer. For Stacey and Rob, their dream barn wedding came to life in the most beautiful way. With soaring temperatures, statement styling, and joyful outdoor celebrations, it was a day to remember.

The couple exchanged vows in front of a stunning floral arch that set the tone for the whole day. Towering behind them, the bespoke backdrop was packed with plumes of pampas grass and delicate silk blooms in soft champagne and nude tones. The arch stood at the end of the aisle in front of a wall of fairy lights with soft fabric draping overhead to frame the space.

In the Woodshed,, the styling was nothing short of spectacular. The couple opted for a timeless neutral palette, with creams, champagne and nude tones. Pampas grass was a major feature, used everywhere from large arrangements on plinths at the entrance to towering centrepieces that adorned each table.

Each centrepiece was a dramatic display of pampas grass, silk orchids, hydrangeas and soft roses — creating the illusion of floating clouds above the tables. Our rustic trestle tables were dressed with taupe runners, flickering tea lights, and gold detailing creating a romantic, soft atmosphere that still felt modern and fresh.

The top table sat in front of another giant arch of pampas and silk flowers positioned to frame the couple and gave a strong visual anchor to the layout.

With temperatures reaching 32°C and sunshine all day, much of the wedding unfolded outside. After the ceremony, guests spilled into the gardens, where they were met with a relaxed festival-style setup.

A drinks station was set up under the Cartshed, complete with vintage barrel bar,  and tin baths filled with ice-cold beers and a range of summery drinks.

Garden games added to the relaxed fun — from giant Jenga to bean bag toss and ring games. Guests of all ages joined in, laughing in the sun with a drink in hand and music playing in the background. It was a relaxed, joyful start to the celebration that perfectly matched the couple’s vision.

The couple chose a casual yet delicious three-course meal that celebrated seasonal flavours and relaxed dining. Large sharing boards of antipasti featuring cured meats, local cheeses, olives, fresh breads, and dipping oils started the meal off perfectly. This was followed by a sizzling BBQ banquet with everything from marinated chicken skewers and South African Boerewors sausage to grilled halloumi, chargrilled vegetables, fresh salads, and crispy potatoes. The food was served on giant sharing boards to keep things informal and sociable, encouraging guests to mingle. Dessert was a total crowd-pleaser: indulgent warm chocolate brownies served with berries - the perfect finisher.

As the sun began to set over the fields, golden hour cast the whole venue in a warm, romantic glow. Speeches took place at the top table with the pampas arch glowing in the background, and not a dry eye in the barn. The love, laughter, and relaxed atmosphere were palpable.

Later, more guests joined the party and the DJ kicked things off with a mix of classics and crowd favourites. Guests drifted between the dance floor and the courtyard, where the fire pit was lit and hot sausage and ice cream trucks served as the stars came out.

This June barn wedding was everything a summer celebration should be — relaxed, romantic, and filled with sunshine. From the stunning floral design to the outdoor fun, incredible food, and joyful atmosphere, every detail reflected the couple’s laid-back style and love for their guests.
