Tasha & Ian - September '22

For most of our couples, juggling wedding planning alongside everyday life and work commitments comes with its challenges. That said, Tasha and Ian thought they’d throw a few more obstacles into the equation; living out of county and being in the middle of exchanging on a house, meaning relocation back to Suffolk!

Given all the exciting yet stressful chapters unfolding, Tasha and Ian remained calm throughout the planning process and were a couple who always had a definitive plan from start to finish. What they never let on to us though, was just how much of a vision they had and that they could actually achieve it all by themselves.

Opting to dine in the Main Barn, we unlocked the doors on the morning of the wedding to find crisp white table cloths, green table runners and sky blue napkins with bud vases filled to the brim with fresh meadow flowers to compliment the colours running through the tables. It looked, and smelled, incredible! The Woodshed had also been lovingly styled, with ribbons cascading from the beams and a floral arch to frame Tasha and Ian whilst exchanging vows. Accents of gold ran through the venue to modernise and complete their look in the form of beaded glass charger plates, rimmed glassware and cutlery which reflected the afternoon sun.

After the ceremony, guests were ushered outside onto the rear lawn to admire the abundance of potted plants and trees Tasha and Ian had transported from home, whilst sipping our happy couple's favourite cocktail ‘Bees Knees’.

Back to Your Place were the trusted caterers of the day and achieved an entirely gluten free menu so that our beautiful Bride could be care-free, knowing she could fully enjoy whatever food surrounded her. Tasha also challenged herself with the task of making her own wedding cake which again, was entirely gluten free. Hats off to her for having the patience to ice it during set up on the Friday too, there aren’t many Brides out there who are calm enough to do that the day before their wedding, we can assure you!

Having enjoyed some time soaking in the afternoon sun on the lawn, it was apparent that Autumn was on its way as there was a sudden chill in the air. Guests were swiftly invited into the warmth of the Main Barn to witness Tasha and Ian cut the cake before enjoying a hearty three course meal.

As the bar opened and more guests arrived to join the celebrations, little did they know that their Bride and Groom had arranged a surprise for them all. With their first dance and outfit change complete, the band soon announced for everyone to don their coats and head outside. With everyone in position, it was time for our newlyweds to reveal their surprise and ignite the first firework of the display (under the safe supervision of Firework Crazy!) over the parkland.

What a perfect end to a perfect day, congratulations to the kindest of couples. We hope you have a fantastic adventure in New Zealand!
