For Tori and Adam early summer provided the perfect backdrop for their long-awaited wedding day, surrounded by their closest family, friends, and their beloved dog, Sally. From their first visit to the barn, this early summer season had been important to them. Tori’s favourite blooms are peonies and, as we know, peonies have a very short season so this was always a factor in selecting their wedding date.
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear this wedding was filled with personal touches. The barn had been transformed with a romantic palette of peach, coral and rust tones, brought to life through abundant, summer woodland-inspired florals. Wild and textured arrangements lined the aisle, spilling with seasonal blooms of roses, dahlias, meadow grasses, and the undisputed favourite of the day: huge peonies! These lush, fragrant flowers were a really special element of the day to Tori and the elegant yet untamed florals perfectly suited the barn’s warm, rustic backdrop.
The ceremony took place inside the barn, while summer showers played outside. .A flower-laden arch stood proudly at the top of the aisle as Tori followed her bridesmaids down the aisle holding a bouquet brimming with peonies, ranunculus and ferns. Waiting to deliver the rings in style was the couple's beloved staffi Sally who was particularly enthusiastic in her delivery as she watched her humans say “I do.”
After the ceremony, as Emma and Tom were pronounced husband and wife, their guests showered them with handfuls of homemade petal confetti—collected and dried by loved ones in the months before the wedding. The colourful petals floated through the barn, creating a magical, joy-filled scene as the couple made their way back down the aisle, beaming. Guests wandered outside with glasses of prosecco as earlier showers gave way to warm summer air.
Inside, long wooden tables were dressed with elegant tableware and more floral arrangements in the same woodland palette while foliage hung from the beams overhead. As guests were seated for dinner, the couples’ shared love of anime and videogames was acknowledged via their eclectic soundtrack.
The three-course meal was a seasonal feast, thoughtfully chosen by Tori and Adam to reflect their love of food and family-style dining and was followed by an array of speeches from the bridal party toasted with glasses of prosecco.
As the evening drew in, the barn was transformed again for the party. Festoon lights twinkled above the dance floor, and a DJ filled the space with music that, alongside a delicious hog roast, kept guests dancing long into the night.
We feel truly honoured to have hosted such a special celebration, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness, adventures, and summer evenings just like this one.
