Vikki and Rory always had a clear vision of how they wanted their wedding day to be, even from the very first day we met them. The ultimate goal was to have a relaxed, informal day with fun for all the family and that is exactly the day they had.
Good friend, Lizzie, just so happened to be a super talented florist behind her business ‘Mulberry Flowers’ and transformed the barn with the most beautiful, showstopping florals throughout. Having met Lizzie at Vikki and Rory’s first planning meeting, and seeing the mood board that they had created together, we were so excited to have her on-site. Lizzie used nooks and crannies of the barn that had never been dressed before and we are pretty certain others will take inspiration from her installations in months to come.
We received an email from Vikki and Rory a few months prior to their wedding, whilst holidaying in Jamaica, to say they had fallen in love with the native music so much so that they had found a steel band to play during the drinks reception.
Pronounced as husband and wife, our newly weds surprised their guests with a live steel band underneath the Cartshed which had been beautifully themed by Lizzie with fresh pineapples and palm leaves to give guests those tropical vibes.
Basking in the summer sun, guests kicked back and relaxed on the rear lawn with a drink of their choice and antipasti pots whilst the showstopper was being prepared in the Main Barn.
In keeping with the brief of a relaxed, informal day, there were no seating plans or plated meals. Instead, Feast and Flourish created the most eye-catching, mouth watering sweet and savoury grazing table - enough to feed the 5000 in fact, which was available for guests to enjoy throughout the afternoon. Vikki’s homemade wedding cake was also on display on our whisky barrel, nestled in between the sweet and savoury offering, for all to admire before the official cutting. Once again, Lizzie had been hard at work but this time with a floating floral installation above the grazing table to really make it a focal point in the Main Barn - which it did, it was stunning!
As evening guests arrived to celebrate with the happy couple, we tagged along with photographer, Beth Moseley, to capture some sweet snaps in the wheat field in the evening sunshine.
With the fryers loaded, it was fish and chips all round followed by fluffy donuts in readiness for the second live music act of the day so guests could dance the night away.
Congratulations to the most organised yet chilled couple of the season - we loved your vision and your execution. Wishing you so much love and happiness together as a new family.
